About Us 

        Over 70 years old, LOYAL GROUP comprises two composite mills, a spinning mill, a dye house, three garment manufacturing units, a trading cum retailing company, and an international trading company. (a Joint Venture with an Italian firm). In recognition of its substantial exports, the Government of India has awarded both the composite mills, "Golden Status Trading House".   
      The Company has also obtained ISO-9002-94 accreditation. In the financial year 1999-2000, the annual turnover of the group was Rs.2,000 million (US$ 58 Million) out of which Rs.1,000 million (US$ 30 Million) was from exports.

The company has also won the Silver Trophy for 1997-98 and Bronze Trophy for 1998-99 from The Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council for best export performance in fabrics category. It has also won the Silver Plaque for 1999 from the Apparel Export Promotion Council for best export perfomance in Garments in Non-Quota category.

P.ORR & SONS  
    The company is involved in the trading, retailing and distribution of precision products including watches. This company has 6 operational stores in Tamil Nadu (South India) and is in the process of expanding the same to over 8 stores in 1998. P.Orr & Sons retails over 30% of all watches sold in the city of Madras and services about 70,000 watches per year.   

EDUCATIONAL TRUSTS  
    The group supports and runs through its Charitable trusts several education institutions in the cities of Madurai and Kovilpatti.   

   Thiagarajar College of Preceptors a Teachers Training College   

   Thiagarajar School of Management - a post-graduate school offering Masters in Business Administration & Masters in Computer Application courses.   

   Thiagarajar Model Higher Secondary School and other primary and secondary schools.   
Over 2500 students receive quality education through these institutions.   

   The Loyal Group, having seen three generations of enterpreneurship in Textiles, Trading and Banking, currently being managed by a third generation member of the founding family.   
The 70-year old Loyal Group also has in its fold the 149-year-old   
P'orr & Sons - a name synonomous with 'time' and 'watches' in the City of Madras.  
 

   The Loyal Group is committed to philanthrophy and education as it manages a Teachers' Training School, a school of Management, a higher-secondary school - all named after the Group's founder, late Karumuttu Thiagaraja Chettiar (1891 - 1974), Doyen of South India's Textile Industry.

    The LOYAL Group follows a strict ethical code of conduct in the operation of the units. It strictly does not employ child labour in any of its units.  
    LOYAL today exports to most parts of the world. Repeat orders from all its customers in Europe, America, Israel, Egypt, Canada, Australia and the Far-East is the proof to the high quality of LOYAL products. This is true of its domestic customers as well.  
   A steady growth in both International and Domestic business stand testimony to its philosophy of sustained quality control at every stage.  

Future Plans: 
    The Loyal Group is constantly researching areas for long term business relationships in Europe / Asia to set up dedicated manufacturing base for INTERNATIONAL BRAND NAMES in India, to be sold in India and Overseas.
